JOINING FORCES

We are thrilled to announce that Cunningham Allen has joined forces with Walker Partners. Our two Texas-based and Texan-owned firms have a long, storied history together and by joining our people, expertise, and civil engineering strengths, we are poised to provide Austin and the surrounding communities with even greater service than they have thrived with for 40 years.

Since 1980, Bob Allen and the team at Cunningham Allen (previously Cunningham Graves) have served communities across Texas. From commercial developments, to single and multi-family residential developments, K-12 and collegiate educational facilities, and church projects, their work continues to create a positive impact on our communities that will last for generations.

Jed Walker went to work for Cunningham Graves in 1984 after graduating from Texas A&M. As Senior Vice President, Bob soon became Jed’s mentor and coach as they worked together on many successful land development projects throughout the 1980s.

The oil and gas, real estate, and savings and loan crisis led Jed to engineering consulting work for the public sector – specifically for municipalities along the IH35 corridor from Austin to Fort Worth. Jed founded Walker Partners in 2004 which has methodically grown and strengthened to over 90 employees and 5 offices offering civil engineering and surveying services across Texas.

Rooted in the same history, Walker Partners and Cunningham Allen believe that we are much stronger together as a Team than we are as separate firms. Our partners and clients can rest assured that the same professional staff will continue to serve them with the positive professionalism they have received for over 40 years. Walker Partners will strengthen Cunningham Allen’s survey team and will provide additional expertise and “depth on the bench” for the civil engineering design teams.

To bolster the merging of our Firms, and to ensure that our clients and projects continue to be served at the highest level possible, Bob is going to remain with the new Firm as the Chief Operating Officer until the transition of people, clients, and projects is successfully complete. Our new Team stands poised and ready to serve, and we look forward to many more years of designing and building communities that we all call home!
